THOSE GODDAMN EGGS

Every time I turn the TV on or take a stroll down the newsfeed of an assortment of websites I find some media pundit, political analyst, or celebrity personality informing me about why the Democrats, and Harris in particular, lost the 2024 general lesson.

It seems that woe is the common denominator. Millions of Democrats it seems are fed up, angry, depressed, and a few disillusioned about grocery prices (especially those goddamn eggs), inflation, low wages, and the general lack of concern that the Democrats have shown those in the less than $100,000 a year wage bracket for a number of years.

 Here’s the real skinny: Trump in 2024 racked up 74,600,000 votes—a net gain a roughly 376,000 votes over his 2020 vote total of 74,224,000. Since Trump carried several traditional “blue” states and most, if not all, of the purple states, it does not take a rocket scientist to know that Trump’s 376,000 vote increase was Democrat defectors –and, worse yet, a more reasonable assumption can be made that another 2 to 5 million Democrat voters also defected to the MAGA movement.

Bottom line: Trump’s voter popularity with Republicans decreased between 2020 and 2024 while it increased among Democrats who, apparently, preferred the Trump-inspired 2025 agenda because they’ve had to pay $1.00 more per carton for those goddamn eggs during the Biden years.

The thing that really sticks in my craw is this: those defecting Democrat voters will go into a grocery store and shell out between $150 to $200 a week for groceries, including a couple cartons of those goddamn eggs, and then load all them groceries, including those goddamn eggs, into a $60,000 SUV or a $75,000 pickup truck—you know, one of those F-150s, Rams, or Silverado gas-guzzling monstrosities.

Just this morning—the same morning I am going to see my cardiologist, and necessarily so because of those defecting Democrats—I read about Democrat Whoopi Goldberg’s woe of barely having enough money to get by, living from paycheck to paycheck, so to speak. She’s crying, crocodile tears no less, that she could not leave The View because her salary is barely enough to “get by” on.

Whoppi’s salary is roughly $8 million a year – and she says she’s going to have to learn how to share the pain and woe of those folks making less than $100,000 a year because she’s gotta learn how to manage the price of those goddamn eggs.

I swear to the soles on the bottom of my shoes, if I hear another loud mouthed sonuvabitch talking about the Democrats losing because of the price of those goddamn eggs, I’m going to throw that little blue ball Alexis into the TV screen.

Democrats lost the election because several million of them defected to the MAGA camp not because of the price of those goddamn eggs but because they prefer a fascist Republic over a diverse Democracy.

And while the loyal Democrats are crying in their beer, the Democrat defectors are stuffing their face with those goddamn eggs.
